IS IT SUMMER YET?
Me needing a scarf today was completely unacceptable, Chicago – I’ve had it!
I can’t help but get completely homesick mad as hell when the weather back home in Georgia has been consistently 80+ degrees – and I’m over here getting blown by 20 mph wind gusts in the rain. It’s like already May (well it’s gonna be May) and for every day the temp rises above 60, we get one week of saggy, sad girl weather. *Nancy Kerrigan voice: “WHYYY??!”
Even though the weather sucks, anytime I drive down Lake Shore and hear certain music I think of the fun that’s to come in the next few months and I figure I’ll just deal with it – there’s nothing better than summer here in Chicago! And mine was pretty messed up last year so I’m lookin’ forward to a re-do.
Along with more recent releases, I’ve been listening to a lot of my music on shuffle and the most random songs have been either giving me flashbacks, or making me ready to be at the beach already!
