The brand new song “Patience” marks Tame Impala’s latest release since 2017’s Current’s B-Sides and Remixes, a companion EP to the Grammy Award-winning record Currents (which was released back in 2015). You could say an unexpected single was the last thing anyone was expecting, even despite topping the headlining slot at this year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago.
I’ve been more than lucky to have seen Kevin Parker and the live gang at both Lollapalooza in 2015 and at UIC in 2016, but am mostly looking forward to what’s next for Tame Impala and am so glad they’re playing this year’s festival, too.
