Aussie psychedelic genius Kevin Parker (aka the wizard behind rock band Tame Impala) is back with new music, and a tolerable release date in sight for the long-awaited follow up to 2015’s album of the summer, Currents. We can expect the new record The Slow Rush sooner than you think, and we’ve already got a taste of what’s to come.
After months of speculation and last week’s cryptic Instagram videos, the mastermind that is Kevin Parker has finally finalized the next chapter for Tame Impala and announced their fourth full-length LP titled The Slow Rush. It’s been over 4 years since the wildly popular, Grammy Award-winning Currents was released in 2015, and the big news comes with an added bonus: a brand new song titled “It Might Be Time”. The new track follows lead singles “Patience” and “Borderline”, which were both released earlier this year to positive response.
Obviously, the album was recorded, produced, mixed and by Parker and we expect nothing less! We can also expect the new record to be available everywhere in just months, currently on schedule for a Valentine’s Day release date: February 14, 2020. And if you missed them at Lollapalooza this year, you can always hop over to the 2019 Videos page to see how it went! Check out “It Might Be Time” and drop a comment with your thoughts!
