Post-show: Tinashe at Radius Chicago – BB/Ang3l Tour 2024

First show of 2024 – Tinashe at Chicago’s Radius! The 9-city East Coast leg of the BB/Ang3l Tour kicked off in Atlanta back in January and wrapped up here with Chicago being the finale show. I’d previously not been to a concert since last December (for Sky Ferreira), so I was really looking forward to this night. I get crazy if I go to long without live music! After the October show’s pushback (when her joint tour with Shygirl was cancelled), I was essentially counting the days to seeing her on stage again. It’s also been awhile since I checked out a new venue, and East Pilsen’s Radius did not disappoint. This incredibly grand, spacious setting (in a former steel factory) made for a really cool warehouse vibe, and the sound and lighting were spot on. Let’s get into a quick recap!

Best Albums of 2019

These are the albums I listened to the most in 2019, in no particular order. These records made the list for a few reasons: production, lyrics, concept, longevity, creativity, and more. These are the ones that simply don’t get old, and I am happy to take them with me into the new year. With that said, there is still a best album of the year –  so read on to find out who took the top spot!

Music Overload: June 11, 2018

While it’s pretty apparent that I’ve taken some time off here and there, I haven’t stopped going to live shows and exploring new music. I’m honestly still exhausted with acclimating to my new job and work-life schedule, and just straight-up tired. I obviously still want to share a lot of music that’s impacted me over the past few months, so I’ll probably be catching up on a lot of older material in addition to new releases. Enjoy and thanks for sticking with me! <3

Now Watching: Tinashe “No Drama” (ft. Offset)

Tinashe Kachingwe – singer, songwriter, dancer, producer, and queen off all-round secrecy – just pulled me out of my seasonal depression by not only releasing a brand new track, but delivered a music video the very next day for her single “No Drama”. The song features Migos’ Offset, has a chill trap vibe, and is presumably a cut from her forthcoming, soon-to-be officially announced new record: Joyride.
