Last month I was able to once more enjoy my React Presents perks, and finally get to see RL Grime live at Aragon Ballroom. Not to categorize the genre, but I this was my 1st EDM-specific show that I’ve attended and it was LIT! The venue was massive, the crowd was nothing like I anticipated (in the best way), and my stupid knee brace was not going to stop me from catching The Nova Tour.

Leave a CommentThe first of my 2 Red Bull Sound Select shows last week, I took myself out on a much-needed date and went to check out someone I’d been DYING to see: Mura Masa! I missed him during Lollapalooza this year, so I’m glad I got a second chance to experience his show at Concord Music Hall (even if it meant squeezing three concerts into three days *shrug*). At $15, this was seriously a bargain and easily one of the best shows I have seen this year.
Leave a CommentRed Bull Sound Select’s exclusive #30daysinchicago circuit continued this month, with Alice Glass performing over at Subterranean along with opening support from artists Nolife and Vail. What felt like a very diverse room of individuals and music-lovers, brought a ton of energy to the event and that vibe definitely carried throughout the entire night.
Leave a CommentDuring my post-show Yelle YouTube binge, I managed to stumble across music videos for so many of the songs I loved hearing at the concert. For some reason this one really stood out.
Leave a CommentTwo weeks ago, I was front and (kinda) center witnessing INTERNATIONAL French superstar Yelle at Chicago’s Empty Bottle. To be quite honest, I hadn’t even actively listened to her tunes in several years but was invited by a friend and of course, I obliged. LET ME TELL YOU: Looking back, if I had not gone to this show I would have regretted that decision for possibly the rest of my life (okay well, for the next few years at least).
Leave a CommentFinally getting to share some clips from singer Tei Shi’s show last Saturday at Schubas Tavern! Obviously the show was amazing from start to finish, including opening act Dizzy. She looked amazing, started the set with my favorite track, and performed the best assortment of songs from all 3 of her releases.

Just about 2 weeks ago, pop goddess Lady Gaga made headlines and history by becoming the first female headlining performer to play Chicago’s Wrigley Field during her sold-out Joanne World Tour.
