Instead of aggressively procrastinating this year – I will start off by using this down time between shows to get my shit right and set myself up for an organized, well-planned, and successful 2019. My 2018 Videos page was in dire need of some updates, and my phone storage was indeed begging for mercy.

If you couldn’t already tell from my unplanned hiatus, summer is a very busy time for me as I’ve been a contributing writer for Chicago Innerview’s magazine and website for the past two festival seasons. This includes writing for Pitchfork, Lollapalooza, and Riot Fest both online as well as for the physical copies available in coffee shops and venues around Chicago. Some way, somehow I was offered the full Lollapalooza festival recap on their home page, in addition to having 6 articles this time around in the magazine on artists like Hippie Sabotage, The Weeknd, Lizzo, and Playboi Carti.

While it’s pretty apparent that I’ve taken some time off here and there, I haven’t stopped going to live shows and exploring new music. I’m honestly still exhausted with acclimating to my new job and work-life schedule, and just straight-up tired. I obviously still want to share a lot of music that’s impacted me over the past few months, so I’ll probably be catching up on a lot of older material in addition to new releases.
