Last month I was able to once more enjoy my React Presents perks, and finally get to see RL Grime live at Aragon Ballroom. Not to categorize the genre, but I this was my 1st EDM-specific show that I’ve attended and it was LIT! The venue was massive, the crowd was nothing like I anticipated (in the best way), and my stupid knee brace was not going to stop me from catching The Nova Tour.
Beneath the most beautiful realistic murals of the night sky (including “twinkling” stars), Grime’s audio-visual sensory experience was in full effect at the Ballroom, and for the several hours I was there – not one person stopped dancing to the beats.

Armed with compilation of untitled new material, fan favorites, updated and reworked mixes, and non-stop live transitions, Grime was able to fuel an endless stream of energy throughout the entire crowd in attendance. With the exception of a drink “double” being about $17, the night went off without a hitch and I even scored a really sick hoodie that has become one of my favorite buys.
