The brand new song “Patience” marks Tame Impala’s latest release since 2017’s Current’s B-Sides and Remixes, a companion EP to the Grammy Award-winning record Currents (which was released back in 2015). You could say an unexpected single was the last thing anyone was expecting, even despite topping the headlining slot at this year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago.

Literally everyone is releasing music left and right this month, and Aussie artist Flume has been no exception. As his first full-length release since 2016’s Skin, last week the experimental producer dropped a completely unexpected mixtape titled Hi This Is Flume. The 17-track mix is just under 40 minutes, and features work with artists like SOPHIE, slowthai, JPEGMAFIA and frequent collaborator Kučka just to name a few. The record is accompanied by a Jonathan Zawada-directed visual that is a breathtaking sensory overload and definitely worth a watch to really experience the attention to detail on these tracks.
