For K-pop royalty’s very own Blackpink, this upcoming weekend undoubtedly marks their largest, most-anticipated live performance since their record-breaking appearance at 2019’s Coachella Music Festival. The first Korean girl group to perform at a U.S. festival, the ladies showed the states exactly what they were about and left us wanting more. No, literally. We wanted more and after wrapping up the Blackpink In Your Area World Tour about a year ago – BLINKS are finally getting their wish. Virtually, of course.

Happy (almost) New Year! I know I have been gone for like months, but I wanted to return on a good note and share some of the music and artists that have been getting me through this whole pandemic situation. I know, who thought I’d be using the word pandemic in an intro – but here we are. Anyway, there were a lot of changes in the world and in my life, and that also includes changes to my taste in music and exactly how I absorb content. I found myself not wanting to really relate to anything at the start of this, and as I turned to a lot of new music in foreign languages, it kind of took me back to a purely sonic approach to determining what sounds actually caught my attention (detached from the lyrics themselves). So, you may see some things here that are new, surprising, or even shocking – but isn’t that what 2020 was all about? These few selections are based purely on my perceptions and are in no particular order. Let’s get into it!
Leave a CommentHi friends! Thanks for taking time to visit my site, considering the recent political and social climate. Over the past month, not only have I’ve been all-the-way consumed with moving into a new apartment, but we are now officially quarantined as a nation – so I apologize for the extended hiatus! But there’s been so many juicy things happening in music that I have more than enough to ramble about going forward. We’ve got new videos out, albums dropping, singles being released, and much, much more. Let’s not waste any time, and let’s occupy our thoughts (and our ears) with something positive!
Leave a CommentThis April, you can catch multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist Alex Crossan (better known as Mura Masa) on his upcoming Spring tour. The exclusive, 12-date “RYC U.S. Tour” hits limited cities over the course of a few weeks, and supporting act Deb Never was just added to the bill. This is how you get your money’s worth, people! With the 23-year-old musician being no stranger to incredibly unique collaborations (think artists like Charli XCX, ASAP Rocky, Damon Albarn, NAO and more) who knows – will we get a new joint effort live during the tour? Guess you’ll have to go to find out!
