While it’s pretty apparent that I’ve taken some time off here and there, I haven’t stopped going to live shows and exploring new music. I’m honestly still exhausted with acclimating to my new job and work-life schedule, and just straight-up tired. I obviously still want to share a lot of music that’s impacted me over the past few months, so I’ll probably be catching up on a lot of older material in addition to new releases. On last night’s season finale, Saturday Night Live was hosted by the hilarious Tina Fey, boasted several celebrity cameos, and of course – Nicki Minaj was performing live on the 43rd season’s closing episode. I expected nothing but the best from these two performances, and I was far from disappointed.

As a young tot in the days of the Mickey Mouse Club, AND a teen during the iconic “Stripped” era – I’ve always been a pretty solid fan of Christina Aguilera. In a much needed, yet unexpected return to the airwaves, Aguilera is back with a new dance track which features support from 2 Chainz and Ty Dolla $ign and is the first single from her forthcoming ninth record: Liberation.
