Now Watching: Super Bowl LI Halftime Show

LADY GAGA MADE THE SUPER BOWL HER (FREE) BITCH

Unless you have been living under a rock – or you watched last Sunday’s game for the wrong reasons – then I’m sure you’ve already heard about the real winner: LADY GAGA (and her live band and OG dancers, of course). Did you catch it?

After keeping super tight-lipped about the show, even at the NFL press conference, I had no idea what to expect from this performance WHATSOEVER as Gaga was saying nothing about it. She eventually revealed tiny peeks into the preparation for the event but didn’t really share too much.

As I’m sure you can imagine, I spent the majority of that Sunday with the football game live-streamed and muted on my computer, so as not to disrupt my home with the sounds of sports-talk while I pre- celebrated the night’s upcoming performance.

*years go by*

In true angelic form, Gaga posted a cute little note to us on the ‘gram before she hit the stage:

I want to say thank you to my fans for cheering me on all these years. There will not be any guest performers tonight, I’m doing these 13 minutes solo! I dedicate every second to the love, diversity, compassion, and wild spirit of our fan base. To that kid who felt unwanted, or the grown up who remembers how hard it was to find acceptance. This is for you. It is also for those whose hearts and minds have opened to our message. Thank you for believing in us so we could be here today little monsters this is YOUR stage. And I’m gonna leave my heart on it so you never forget it. Let’s do this. Xoxo Love, Gaga p.s I LOVE YOU SO MUCH ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🏈

Check out the nearly 14 min spectacle here in full HD, featuring the beautiful and talented Gaga, plus a few special guests you may have actually missed: her fans.

I thought this was incredible – thoughts?

I don’t know where to even begin! When she spider-shimmies down to the main pedestal and then straightens her body before she starts the song – like why is that so cool to me? Wanted to see an entrance you’ve never seen? Well you got one.

Her energy is out of control, and her vocals are thunderous. I’ve watched a few fan clips and her voice just echoes in that place. Her in-ear monitor must be working overtime, because she didn’t miss a note.

The “Telephone” choreography is always a favorite and I loved the new disco stick. Anytime she references herself is truly iconic and I am also here for the keytar.

Anytime she touches a piano it’s LIT let’s not even go there; “Million Reasons” was perfect and I like the changes she did to the vocals.

Long story short -I loved it.

And just when I’ve had it with her and these antics, she knocks me all the way off my rocker and drops tour dates less than 48 hours later. Oh and no biggie, the tickets go on sale THIS WEEK.

This iconic performance has already got people talking, and has spawned endless memes, and unfortunately caused some body-shaming. Gaga’s already shutting the haters down and shared this online:

It’s 2017 tho – can we please stop commenting on women’s appearance and bodies? Stay strong girl, you look and sound great!
