The Weekend – Starboy – Released November 25, 2016
There’s been a ridiculous amount of hype surrounding The Weeknd’s latest record, and rightfully so. He’s been all over the media lately (mostly for cutting his signature dreads), but had been teasing material on his Instagram for what felt like ages.

Once the first single was released, everything kind of spiraled out of control, in the best way of course, which pushed him further into the spotlight more than we’d ever really seen – both musically and on a personal note.
With 2 new music videos out for both “Starboy” and “False Alarm” – The Weeknd has surely been making his rounds in preparation for the album’s release – most notably with what was a stunning live performance during the American Music Awards last week.
If you’re not ready to dive right in, his latest visual “Mania” (a 12:00 visual) provides somewhat of a sampler of the album. I was kind of sold on the album after viewing this, and the visuals really communicated the overall tone of the record.
