A persistent trail of anonymity isn’t stopping soulful singers Emotional Oranges from taking over the underground music scene right now. The LA-based R&B duo (whose identities remain generally undisclosed) have created their own lane of vibrant, emotional, and captivating music that is part nostalgic and brand new all at the same time. Less than three months after the release of their incredible debut project The Juice: Volume 1 the mysterious musicians are embarking on a world tour that you won’t want to miss.
Ya’ll it was the hottest day of the Summer (so far) and I went shopping for some swimwear at a store with a friend. While in the fitting room, I heard the most engaging song everrr! I was like – who is this and why are they harmonizing so well? Whatever song it was, it felt like a very natural dialogue between two individuals, who were just trying to understand each others’ perspectives on love and communication. Me, topless and boiling to death, fumbled for my phone to aggressively (and slowly) download a song identifying app just before the song ended. Cut to the first time I found “Hold You Back”.

I then shame-spiraled into the internet and researched all I could – but never put a face to the music. Then I wondered: Does it even matter what they look like? The answer was no, and that was okay!
