Hi friends! Thanks for taking time to visit my site, considering the recent political and social climate. Over the past month, not only have I’ve been all-the-way consumed with moving into a new apartment, but we are now officially quarantined as a nation – so I apologize for the extended hiatus! But there’s been so many juicy things happening in music that I have more than enough to ramble about going forward. We’ve got new videos out, albums dropping, singles being released, and much, much more. Let’s not waste any time, and let’s occupy our thoughts (and our ears) with something positive!
Empress Of Shares Forthcoming Album’s Title and Release Date
Lorely Rodriguez (better known to listeners as Empress Of) will be releasing her third studio album I’m Your Empress Of in just mere weeks, currently scheduled for release on April 3, 2020. This follows her 2018 sophomore record Us, and it (confirmed) includes the hot new single “Give Me Another Chance”. Rodriguez produced 10 of the 12 tracks on the record, so you already know it’s going to be incredibly organic and succinct. Mark your calendars, people – she’s coming for our necks! Watch the brand new video for the first single right here!
Phantogram Release Emotionally-Charged New Record Ceremony
My favorite band has (unsurprisingly) done it again, and one-upped their last project with an even more sentimentally fulfilling record. The New York duo always manages to hide the most intensely emotional content beneath the heaviest basslines and within tracks that consistently evolve from beginning to end. Ceremony is no different, touching stomping on topics and feelings that you may not have realized have been affecting your day-to day-well-being for an extended period of time. On Instagram, vocalist Sarah Barthel openly penned how difficult touring 2016’s Three had been, considering the album’s sensitive content and the lack of personal time to mourn the passing of her sister, Becky (whom she lost to suicide in that same year).

I wholeheartedly support their decision to always be honest with their listeners, and you can feel that honestly in all of their lyrics (and when they pour their heart out on stage). Favorite tracks include “In A Spiral”, “Love Me Now”, “Pedestal”, and “Let Me Down”. A must-hear, and I’m almost certain that I’ll take time to do a full review on the album in the future. Check out “Love Me Now”, and if you like what you hear – support the release and buy or stream today!
