TINASHE’S “Me So Bad” Music Video

I LOVE TINASHE. That is my biased disclaimer on this post. You can call her underrated or whatever you want, but in my opinion nearly everything Tinashe does is bomb. Her latest album Joyride is no exception, and she’s just been casually releasing music videos on the fly in conjunction with new music. Following “No Drama” featuring Offset and “Faded Love” with Future – the collabs don’t stop and her latest video boasts rappers French Montana and Ty Dolla $ign, in a flirty, country-club, tennis-themed visual.
It’s super dated, and giving me early millennium vibes with the velour tracksuits and visors, and the choreography shots. Also, my favorite line is that she “needs a better bassline” before the bass drops. She called her own drop, ya’ll. Watch the super adorable video for “Me So Bad” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and French Montana, and listen to Tinashe’s latest album Joyride here!
ALINA BARAZ Is The New Queen of Everything
Just a couple of months back, sultry electronic R&B singer Alina Baraz dropped The Color of You, an unexpected follow up to 2015s urban flora, a collaborative EP featuring electronic artist and producer Galimatias. The album is basically perfect front-to-back and includes features from Khalid and Jada.

If you were lucky enough to grab tickets last week, you can catch Baraz live on August 4 at Thalia Hall for an Official Lollapalooza aftershow with special guest R.LUM.R. I dropped the ball on that one, but I’ll be there when she actually hits the Lolla stage the following day! Check out one of my favorite newer releases from her below, which is such a vibe.
HOLD UP: New Music From Aussie Trio Rufus Du Sol!
So, when I think about my most memorable, and emotional concert experiences of all time – Rufus Du Sol definitely tops the list. I can almost remember shot-for-shot every time I’ve seen these guys perform, because you literally cannot take your eyes off of them. Their music really takes you somewhere else where you have absolutely no stress or a care in the world.
It may have been a hot minute, but without skipping a beat the guys dropped a dreamy new track two weeks ago called “No Place”. I don’t want to compare it to any of their other songs, but while it’s brand new it’s definitely reminiscent of what we enjoy about their unique sound. Right now, they’re on a limited tour run in select cities, with just a few US and UK sets over summer, and a couple of LA shows scheduled for fall. With hopefully more dates to come, for now this will tithe me over until I see them again.
So that will do it for tonight, and thanks so much again for reading this and enjoying my suggestions. Let me know if there’s any artists I should be listening to, and make sure you add me on Facebook!
