The XX are back in action, Rihanna still expects us to have her money, and Britney Spears just dropped a collaboration no one saw coming.
The Princess of Pop has enlisted R/B triple quadruple-threat Tinashe for support on her song “Slumber Party” – from this summer’s Glory release. It’s a fresh, new take on the track and Tinashe definitely brings that extra little sum’n sum’n that single.
“Saw your snapchats from the show this weekend @Tinashe You’re sooo cute!!” Britney wrote on Twitter. “Loved them & hope you come back soon!”
With Tinashe being a self-proclaimed Britney “stan”(who isn’t), she surely picked the perfect artist to collab with for the rework of the track. Tinashe has commented on several occasions about her love for Brit, and the feeling was clearly mutual from their social media convos.

I will be “watching” the 2016 American Music Awards this upcoming Sunday – solely to see Gaga, obviously. With her Super Bowl Halftime show in the near distant future, I’m so curious to know what song(s) she’ll do or in what direction she’ll take this performance.
Even though she just blazed through those 3 Bud Light Dive Bar shows last month, this is probably the largest platform for any of her Joanne-associated songs. She did just slay Saturday Night Live, of course, but I believe this performance will bring in a broader audience and I (hopefully) won’t have to stay up all night to catch it.
But I will – will you?
