The final piece of the Lollapalooza planning and scheduling situation is finally here; after this I can finally start putting my looks together! The aftershows are what keeps the festival weekend going and going and are so necessary for the full experience! Keep reading to see what I’m talkin’ about.
In addition to online presales that started as early as Wednesday, all of the Official Lollapalooza Aftershows will be on sale for the general public starting tomorrow morning – so get ready!
This includes almost 60 different shows, with over 100 acts performing across 16 different Chicago venues – like the House of Blues, Concord Music Hall, Bottom Lounge, and The Mid just to name a few. Shows are spanning from August 1 to August 6, so whether you plan on attending the actual festival or not, you can definitely catch your faves all about town for basically a fraction of the cost.
The aftershows are typically really exclusive, intimate, late-night sets that the artist plays the day before their slated festival performance (? I know right). From my experiences, I’ve been witness to brand new music, meet-and-greets, and once-in-a-lifetime artist collaborations.
Tix for shows featuring Phantogram, Crystal Castles, and Kaytranada have already been on sale (my purchases included of course), but you’ll still have another shot tomorrow to secure your spots! spot! Ticket sales start tomorrow, June 2 at 10am CST.
I’ve personally found that the best way to get these is by following each artists Facebook page, as well as the official Facebook and Instagram pages of both Lollapalooza and the venues themselves (i.e. React Presents, The Mid, Concord Music Hall)
