Flume Shares “Rushing Back” Music Video + Bonus Instrumental and Remixes

Australian producer Flume is still going strong this year, after sharing his mixtape Hi This Is Flume earlier this summer. This latest track has been a staple in his recent festival circuit, including Chicago’s Lollapalooza in August. The dazzling new song “Rushing Back” features fellow Aussie musician – vocalist Vera Blue (with whom he previously worked with on a unique twist on the Ghost Town DJs’ 90’s classic “My Boo”).

This particular song is not featured on mixtape, so I wonder: Will there be “companions” or EPs in the near future (kind of like the Skin record). Will the new work(s) possibly be related to Hi This Is Flume? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
Speaking of Hi This Is Flume, the interestingly-repetitive visual features that hard-to-miss, custom painted 1985 Nissan 300 ZX that you may recognize from the mixtape visualizer (that we’re all obsessed with, let’s be serious), and it serves as a focal point and constant throughout the dizzying, cyclic video.

The unique vehicle was a collaborative effort between Australian artist Benjamin Barretto and also L.A.-residing creator and digital artist Jonathan Zawada. Remember the incredible work for the Skin album concept and the accompanying tour visuals? Yeah, that’s Zawada.
