Are we really going to sit here and just let this iconic video slip through the cracks? I am not okay with this, you guys! Please take three and a half minutes out of your day, and watch our favorite throwback babe take on your entire childhood. From The Spice Girls to Skechers ads, Apple computers to Ally McBeal – this video made me want to re-subscribe to Delia’s and call in to TRL at the same damn time.

12 months after the success of 2017’s Take Me Apart project, R&B siren Kelela just shared new versions of her singles “Waitin” and “LMK”. Canadian producer and DJ Kaytranada put his take on “Waitin”, while LMK has a new sound and additional support from Princess Nokia, Cupcakke, Junglepussy, and Ms Boogie.

Voyage Media (formed in Los Angeles, but in Boston, Dallas, and Chicago to name a few) represents a mission to “build a platform that fosters collaboration and support for small businesses, independent artists and entrepreneurs, local institutions” – and so much more. In a shocking turn of events, it turns out that my good friend Viviani Valadez (who was recently showcased in a similar local story with Voyage) so graciously (and secretly) nominated me to be featured in their brand new series, The Trailblazers: Rewriting the Narrative.
