FLUME – SKIN – Released May 27, 2016
I cannot talk about 2016 without mentioning the return of Flume to the scene, and this album along with its visual concept was SO. DAMN. CLEAN. I just don’t have any other word to describe this body of work but CLEAN.
There’s been a few updates since the album’s spring release, such as the Skin Companion EP with additional tracks released on vinyl – and his studio version of Ghost Town DJ’s “My Boo”, along with Vince Staples and Kucka!

PHANTOGRAM – THREE – Released October 7, 2016
Of every body of work that’s been released by this duo: this album really struck a nerve with me.
Their most sincere, autobiographical, and emotionally charged release yet – Three has been my shoulder to cry on during a ridiculously tough year.
Death, loneliness, never-ending despair – all of this is covered in this record and has been the pick-me-up that I didn’t know I needed.

Lastly, I got to finish out the year with a last-minute set by these guys at this years The Night’s We Stole Christmas (along with Weezer!!)
Even though they weren’t headlining the show, I’d have serious night terrors of concert regret if I didn’t squeeze in to catch them for this album.
This is the only footage I have from what was the best night of dancing and crying and connecting with their words once again. Truly my favorite band ever and if you’re reading this I LOVE YOU <3
